Picking a bottle of wine at a restaurant should be a thing of pleasure.
But sometimes it can be intimidating – there are baffling chateau names that tell you nothing about the grape or style, huge prices and not an ‘easy drinking’ section to be found anywhere.
Fear not, though, because here top sommelier Yurick Gualeni, from Bar Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel in London, decants his advice for a fret-free wine-list perusing experience.
