Worried about cooking Christmas dinner? Lincolnshire hospital cooks to prepare a staggering 1,300 festive meals



If you think that preparing a wonderful festive feast for your family is a challenge, then what about the Lincolnshire hospital cooks who will be cooking for 1,300 people on Christmas Day.
Hospital chefs at Lincoln, Grantham and Boston will be serving turkey and all the trimmings to patients and staff on December 25.
This herculean effort involves a staggering amount of food - 186 turkey crowns, 300kg of sprouts, 310kg of baby carrots, more than 500kg of potatoes, hundreds of pigs in blankets, thousands of stuffing balls and gallons on gravy.
