Woman who injured brain ‘tram surfing’ sues rail company for £485,000
 

A woman has been awarded £485,000 after suffering a brain injury while ‘surfing’ on the side of a tram.
Rebecca Kelly, 20, was just 13 when she and a friend jumped onto the outside of a tram on the red line in Dublin, Ireland, eight years ago.
She then fell off and hit her heard on the tracks before her friends and onlookers leaped into action and pulled her out of the way of another tram.
She is now suing the tram operators, Veolia Transport Dublin Light Rail Ltd and Veolia Transport Ireland Ltd through her mother, Elizabeth Kelly.
