Why dog owners whose pets were found in Blaby have ended up in court
 

Two people have been fined for failing to ensure their dogs were fitted with collars and tags containing updated contact details.
Fran Lee, of Leicester Road, Broughton Astley, had her German Shepherd picked up as a stray in Cosby by Blaby District Council dog wardens earlier this year.
A spokesman for the local authority said it was found "without a tag in a public place contrary to the Control of Dogs Order (1992)".
