Wedding could be on for dying dad who went to the doctors with a runny nose



People devastated to learn that a much-loved dad has terminal cancer have been digging deep so his dearest wish of marrying his long-term partner can come true.
Garry Holmes, from Melbourne Avenue, Winshill, went to the doctors with a runny nose four weeks ago.
He was given antibiotics for a condition known as a 'nose leak' but the 49-year-old got no better and returned to the doctors, who gave him the devastating news that he actually had cancer.
A tumour was found in his oesophagus and the cancer has spread to his liver, leaving the disease incurable and the dad-of-five heartbroken.
