Warning over 999 hoaxers as figures reveal prank call numbers went up during 2015
 

SICK hoaxers are putting lives at risk with thousands of prank calls to ambulance crews.
The fake calls tie up already overstretched crews, with potentially disastrous results.
Figures show there were 1318 bogus emergency calls to the Scottish Ambulance Service in 2015, up 144 on 2014.
Crews physically attended the scene 564 times – an average of 11 per week – before realising the call was a hoax, compared with 487 the previous year. The details emerged as crews face increasing pressures to deal with their
