Walker fears waste dumped in country lane in Scraptoft is asbestos



Fly-tippers have dumped what is believed to be asbestos in a pile of rubbish on a picturesque country lane.
The pile of waste, which looks like sheets of corrugated asbestos roofing, is one of two heaps of rubbish left in Covert Lane in Scraptoft.
A man, who does not want to be named, reported the tipping to Harborough District Council after going for a walk along the lane last weekend.
He said: “Harborough District Council cleared the fly-tipping debris that was reported along Covert Lane, Scraproft, last month.
