Update on investigation into huge pile of rat-infested rubbish in Alvaston



The Environment Agency says it is making "good progress" in its investigation into a rat-infested pile of stinking waste on a patch of land in Alvaston.
The mountainous eyesore is on private land behind Eden Street in Alvaston.
Neighbours in the area have reported problems with rodents and it is understood that the site has been growing for about last two years.
Derbyshire Live previously reported how local councillor Alan Graves said he had received dozens of complaints about the situation.
