A former aide to Boris Johnson is facing calls to quit as a parliamentary candidate after he made comments about immigrants bringing germs and HIV to the UK.
Anthony Browne, who is standing in the seat of South Cambridgeshire, is the latest Tory candidate to find himself mired in controversy following past comments.
In a book by Browne called ‘Do We Need Mass Immigration?’, the former Times journalist accuses Muslims of having ‘divided loyalties’ which could make social unrest in the UK worse following the invasion of Iraq, the Guardian reported.
