Thousands of runners pound the streets in Paisley for town's annual 10k race

Thousands took to the streets of Paisley today for the town’s annual 10k Road Race and Fun Run.
A total of 3493 people, including both serious athletes and fun runners , laced up their trainers to take part in the two Renfrewshire Leisure organised events.
Many, including the 1360 in the less serious race, were pounding the streets to raise money for various local charities .
Several entire youth football teams in full strips took part as people of all ages donned some interesting outfits for a good cause.
