This is the misery being inflicted by Universal Credit - in the words of Birmingham claimants

Suicide attempts, mental health breakdowns and misery fill the pages of a dossier by two city MPs into the roll out of Universal Credit.
The document outlining horrific cases of how people are struggling to cope on the new benefits system, including the associated Personal Independence Payments (PIP) was put together over several months by Jack Dromey, Erdington, and Liam Byrne, representing Hodge Hill.
They hope it will persuade Work and Pensions Secretary Amber Rudd to continue to delay the rollout until lessons are learned from these and other individual cases.
