The school holiday rip-off laid bare: Families face paying DOUBLE for package trips after schools close



It may not be news that the cost of package family holidays to popular destinations spike as soon as schools break up for summer - but the extent of hikes seems to be growing with some trips costing double compared to term-time.
Research suggests families pay on average 35 per cent more to travel during school holidays than they would if they were going away two weeks before the end of the school.
