Teenage girl 'slashed in face' after rushing to help friend under attack by thugs
 

A brave care assistant who saw her friend attacked by men outside a busy pub was 'slashed in the face' when she tried to help out.
Abbey Jones, 19, was left covered in blood when, she says, a man lashed out, catching her in the face outside the Fireman's Arms pub in Oliver Street, Birkenhead.
Merseyside Police are now hunting two men in relation to the incident, and are urging witnesses to come forward.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday when Miss Jones was out with her mum Donna Farrell, her boyfriend and friends.
