Syria war: First civilians leave besieged Eastern Ghouta
 

Civilians have been evacuated from the besieged rebel-held Eastern Ghouta area in Syria for the first time since daily "humanitarian pauses" began on Tuesday.
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent confirmed it had helped an elderly Pakistani man and his wife leave on Wednesday.
The government and its ally Russia have accused rebels of shelling a "corridor" it has designated for evacuations.
Rescuers meanwhile reported that six civilians, including a girl, were killed in fresh government air strikes.
