Suspected sex traffickers arrested in morning raids across Newcastle's West End
 

Sex-trafficking suspects have been arrested after morning raids in Newcastle’s West End.
Police arrested five men and two women as part of an investigation into the exploitation of vulnerable women who, it is claimed, were brought into the country to work in the sex trade.
Officers raided six properties in the city as part of Northumbria Police’s Operation Sanctuary, rescuing 11 suspected sex-trafficking victims who are now receiving specialist support.
