Stunning 1966 pictures of Glasgow Gorbals show area before landscape changed forever
 

There stunning black-and-white photographs show Scotland’s biggest city before demolition changed its landscape forever.
The pictures of the Gorbals in Glasgow were taken by English actor Steven Berkoff – who played evil General Orlov in James Bond film Octopussy – in the autumn of 1966.
They are part of a body of work included in a new book and will go on display at an exhibition which opens in the city today.
Berkoff, who was performing at the Citizens Theatre at the time, was drawn to the slums and decay as it reminded him of his upbringing in London.
