SOS welcomes hospital report

SAVE Our Surgery, the Selby Times backed group formed to fight for the retention of children's heart surgery services in Yorkshire, has said it is extremely concerned following the Care Quality Commission's report into Bristol Children's Hospital's paediatric cardiac unit.
The report found that the Bristol unit failed to meet safety standards for staffing levels, training and support and patient welfare. It has been given a formal warning and is required to reduce the number of children’s cardiac operations that it carries out.
