Social care bosses approve £3,400 awards ceremony trip to London after discussing price hikes for pensioners
 

Social care bosses have rubber stamped plans to spend up to £3,400 of taxpayer money on a trip to an awards ceremony in London after discussing proposals to increase charges for pensioners.
The £266-a-head ceremony, at the five-star Grosvenor House in Mayfair, will be attended by 12 people, and Nottinghamshire tax payers will also be footing the bill for London hotels (expected to be around £100 a head) and train tickets (around £50 a head) to the capital.
