Sheffield man jailed for having 'loaded shotgun with ammunition sewn into curtains'

A Sheffield man has been jailed after police discovered a loaded shotgun with ammunition sewn into the curtains at his home. Darren Morton, aged 44, was jailed for three years after pleading guilty to possession of a shotgun without a certificate at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday.

South Yorkshire Police told how he was brought to justice after they executed a search warrant at his home in Angleton Gardens, Manor, in May and discovered the weapon, along with the stocked ammunition.... read more
