Sergeant sacked for having sex during night shifts
 

A police sergeant has been sacked for meeting up with women for sex during his night shifts.
Sergeant Alan Ward, from Sussex Police, was dismissed without notice after a misconduct hearing, the force said.
The 40-year-old, who was based in Bognor Regis, did not attend the hearing but previously admitted meeting two separate women while on duty during 27 out of 56 night shifts between January 1 and September 30, a police spokesman said.
