Sad demise of once busy Derby Canal showcased in 1930s photo



We wonder how many of our readers are able to pinpoint the location of this interesting archive photograph, above.
This is a section of the old Derby Canal at Stores Road, looking rather forlorn in the 1930s.
According to Doug Flack, Derby and Sandiacre Canal Trust committee member, the photo was taken just past the junction of Old Nottingham Road and Stores Road and is looking north, parallel with Stores Road.
