Routine operation led to Swadlincote woman's death



A Swadlincote woman died several years after she had a hospital operation to remove gall stones.
Pamela Eyley, known to her friends and family as Pam, died just before Christmas last year after a long history of problems after undergoing surgery for gall stones.
In February 2012, Mrs Eyley, who lived in Elmsleigh Green, Swadlincote, went to her GP, complaining of stomach pains. She was diagnosed with gall stones a few weeks later and underwent surgery to have them removed.
