Richard Kilty's hopes are dashed as Achilles injury costs sprinter place in the World Championships



After the agony of almost losing a finger in a freak accident, Richard Kilty has suffered another blow with his indoor season now over because of a long-standing Achilles injury.
Britain’s former 60 metres world and two-time European indoor champion was hoping to compete at the upcoming World Indoor Championships but confirmed he has been sidelined on Sunday. 
Last year Kilty trapped his right hand in a wooden door and was left fearing that he would lose a finger.
