Review: Slaves at The Institute - a masterclass in riotous chaos
 

It’s been a weird year in for me in terms of gig reviews.
I’ve been everywhere from seeing Frank Turner at Night & Day cafe in Manchester (my first five star review of the year here) to seeing Muse all the way down in Exeter. It’s all been an absolute privilege and festival season hasn’t even started yet.
Slaves have risen to the top of my personal pile with this gig.
You see, I’ve seen bands from The Subways to Laura Marling this year and the crowd has felt a little underwhelming. Up in Wolverhampton, Royal Blood failed to impress me like they have in the past.
