Retford museum secures huge cash injection to celebrate Pilgrim ancestry



A Retford museum will see a new state of the art Pilgrim gallery, as part of more than £750,000 of funding to celebrate the area’s ancestry.
The gallery in Bassetlaw Museum will give people the opportunity to find out more about the likes of William Brewster, William Bradford, as well as the views of Native Americans they encountered in the New World.
The exhibition will be one of just many exciting plans to commemorate the 400 anniversary of the Mayflower reaching America for the first time.
