Residents paying 3 times more for gas told to fork out extra
 

RESIDENTS of two North Lincolnshire villages have been told they will have to fork out if they want to lower their energy bills.
Hundreds of people living in in Althorpe and Keadby have no access to natural gas, meaning their energy costs are higher.
They use oil instead, which residents say is leading to costs up to three times as high as natural gas.
National Grid now says it is prepared to install natural gas supplies, on the condition that at least 40 per cent of properties agree to pay towards the work and accept a quotation for the cost of the project.
