Rebecca Romero's 2012 Olympic hopes hit by injury setback
 

The Beijing individual pursuit gold medallist Rebecca Romero has suffered another setback in her fight to compete in the team event at the London Olympics after being forced to pull out of this week's World Cup in Manchester. A statement from British Cycling said that she had suffered a minor injury which would compromise her chances of competing in next month's world championships and so she was being rested.
