Rafael Nadal: Spanish star’s doctor makes shock admission over injury
 

Nadal withdrew from this month’s Masters 1000 doubleheader in Indian Wells and Miami suffering a recurrence of the hip problem which forced him to retire at the Australian Open in January.
The 31-year-old was told to rest for four to five weeks and was scheduled to return at the Mexican Open in February.
But he pulled out and set his sights on returning for the start of the clay court season in April at the Monte Carlo Masters, where he has won 10 times.
That remains the goal for Nadal, who has been told to completely rest in a bid to minimise any stress on his hip.
