Primary school shuts after more than 100 pupils catch sickness and vomiting virus
A primary school will be closed for two days because at least 110 children have been hit with a 'flu-like virus'.
Around one third of pupils who attend Rowlatts Mead Primary Academy are suffering with sickness and vomiting after an outbreak of an illness at the school.
The academy in Balderstone Close, Rowlatts Hill will be closed today (December 3) and tomorrow.
Pupils will be allowed back to classes on Thursday as the school, which has around 350 children enrolled, plans to reopen at 8.35am.
