Power to our homes and transport: super BATTERY revolution moves closer after new findings
 

A breakthrough in the development of polymer materials announced this week by the partnership of the universities of Surrey and Bristol with advanced tech firm Superdielectrics suggests that’s where we are heading.
If the potential of the findings are realised it could spell the end of traditional lithium-ion batteries.
In their place would be supercapacitor technology which for electric cars would mean they had similar capabilities to petrol or diesel cars in range, with the advantage of being able to recharge as quickly as it takes the time for a car to refuel with petrol. Current... read more
