Police told crime victim 'to post Facebook appeal to get stolen motorbike back'

A biker claims police told him to post a Facebook appeal for a better chance of getting his stolen motorcycle back - rather than relying on cops.
Alex Wood told how crooks stole his Supermoto 125 from outside his home in Park Road, Netherton, Dudley, on September 18.
He spotted the £1,000 bike being lifted into the back of a van. But by the time he got out of the house it had been driven off by thieves.
Alex - who has lost two other motorbikes to thieves - managed to get a registration number which he has passed onto police.
