Police rush to street in Bourne after man climbs onto roof



Police rushed to the scene of a street in Bourne last night due to reports of a man on a roof.
Lincolnshire Police said that they received a call at 6.58pm on Wednesday, July 18 to a concern for safety.
A man was on a roof of a building on Burghley Street in Bourne in the centre of the town.
A statement from Lincolnshire Police said: "This was a concern for safety report for a man on the roof of a building on Burghley Street in Bourne.
"The man was later detained under the Mental Health Act."
The road was cordoned off for a time by the police while they dealt with the incident.
