Police roads chief calls for drivers going 1MPH over limit to be prosecuted



We've all done it - accidentally crept over the speed limit while we drive along one of Derby's roads.
Now Britain’s road policing chief says people should be prosecuted if they are caught breaking the limits - even if just by one mile an hour.
Chief Constable Anthony Bangham has called for an end to the 10 per cent plus two miles buffer over the stated limit that most police forces allow, report Mirror Online .
The news follows recent reports that the region's smart motorway speed cameras are always on - even if the limit is 70mph and no limit is being displayed.
