Police issue warning after £100k scam

Police are warning people to be extra vigilant following reports of fraudsters targeting Lancashire residents purporting to be from a telecommunications company.
There have been four reports this week to date from residents in Preston, Nelson, Blackpool and Blackburn. In total, the victims have been conned out of more than £100,000. In these four incidents, the victims are being called on their landlines by someone alleging to be from a respected supplier.
