Plaid Cymru and Labour begin crunch talks to end First Minister deadlock
 

Formal talks between Labour and Plaid Cymru are due to start as the Assembly remains in disarray after a dramatic few days in Welsh politics.
Rumours of deals have been flying all over the Assembly after a shock twist saw Labour leader Carwyn Jones blocked from being re-elected as First Minister by opposition parties.
The vote saw Mr Jones – who has been First Minister since 2009 – in deadlock with Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood for the top job after her nomination was backed by the Tories and Ukip.
