People know when they are dying and prefer to be alone - even waiting for loved ones to leave the room before they pass away, reveals academic

People often prefer to be left alone when they are dying, an academic claims.
According to Glenys Caswell, a senior research fellow from the University of Nottingham, people have a degree of control over when they pass away, with some waiting to do so until their loved ones are not around.
Although this may seem morbid, Ms Caswell, who has a special interest in death, adds many dislike being fussed over when they are unwell, with the moment of passing being no exception.
