Paper landing cards to be phased out at the UK border
 

The government has announced that it will phase out the need for paper landing cards at the UK border from this summer.
Since 1971, non-European passengers have needed to fill out the forms on arrival on UK soil, detailing basic information about themselves and their travel plans.
It is hoped that the move will will speed up the processing of arrivals at the UK border and reduce bureaucracy for travellers.
