Ocado blames 'driver shortage' for sales slowdown just weeks before Christmas



Online grocer Ocado has blamed a 'shortage of drivers in certain locations' for a slowdown in its retail sales growth during the last quarter. 
The company, which last month announced a partnership deal with French supermarket chain Groupe Casino, posted an 11.6 per cent rise in retail sales to £373.8million in its fourth quarter to 3 December.
That is down from 13.1 per cent in the previous three months. Shares in the FTSE 250 listed group fell by 0.2 per cent, or 0.6p to 341p in morning trading.
