Newcastle appeal Remy's red card to free him to play in Tyne-Wear derby

Newcastle United have lodged an appeal against Loic Remy’s red card at Norwich, in a bid to free him to play in the Tyne-Wear derby.
The Frenchman was sent off by referee Chris Foy at Carrow Road on Tuesday following an altercation with Canaries midfielder Bradley Johnson who was also dismissed.
Johnson was also shown a straight red card after the pair shoved each other and came head-to-head, and Norwich appealed against his dismissal on Wednesday.
