'Never give up Daddy' - sheer determination of the boy doctors said would never walk

Doctors told new parents Lee and Karen Costin that their son Alex would never walk.
He'd been born two months premature and had cerebral palsy.
But they persevered with physiotherapy and, despite poor motor skills and some spasticity in his right hand side, Alex learnt to walk.
However, when he reached the age of nine, Alex started to have serious ‘meltdowns’, often lasting for three to four hours and exhausting himself and everyone in his family.
