MPs: ban failed Southern from putting up its prices

RIP-OFF rail privateer Southern should be banned from putting up fares until services improve, MPs from all parties demanded yesterday.
Its long-suffering passengers, who have endured months of delays and cancellations, will face the same 1.9 per cent rise in ticket prices being applied to regulated fares as other better served routes across Britain.
The failed firm will screw a further £78 out of commuters for their Brighton to London Victoria season ticket, currently £4,108.
