Monkeypox virus - third person diagnosed with disease in the UK

A member of hospital staff has been diagnosed with monkeypox, making them the third person in the UK to be diagnosed with the virus.
The patient is being treated for the virus at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle after being moved from Blackpool Victoria Hospital, reports the Chronicle Live.
Public Health England have reported the person is now in isolation in a specialist unit at the RVI to minimise the risk of onward transmission to others.
