Model employer: Debenhams promises fair treatment
 

DEPARTMENT store chain Debenhams has become the first retailer to sign up to a "fair treatment" code covering the models used in its photo shoots, television adverts and website promotions.
Equity, the trade union that represents artists and models, had already signed up fashion magazine Vogue to its ten-point code, which includes private changing areas, breaks and refreshments, and reaching agreements in advance over nude or semi-nude shoots.
