Milder weather set to continue into weekend

The “Indian summer” we have been enjoying on Merseyside this week is set to continue today when it will be mostly dry with warm sunny spells .
The sunny skies will soon return after a cloudy start, with many enjoying long spells of sunshine.
Thicker cloud could give some patchy light rain or drizzle across northern parts of the region by late afternoon, with a maximum temperature of around 18C.
