Massive increase in bedbugs as hot summer creates perfect breeding conditions
 

Bedbugs are besieging Britain this summer after the record-breaking heat has created the perfect breeding conditions.
The tiny bugs, which can be found in hotels, planes, public transport and homes, have been multiplying for years.
Their reproductive cycle speeds up in warm weather from 21 days to nine days, according to David Cain, of exterminators Bed Bugs Limited.
He said: ‘The problem has been spreading globally since the late 1990s, and there is literally no country on the face of the planet that hasn’t had a bedbug problem.
