M6 in Cumbria fully reopened after crash involving HGV and car

Emergency services were this morning alerted to a collision between a HGV and a Renault Grand Scenic on the M6 southbound between J38 (Tebay) and J37, A684 (Kendal).
Cumbria Police were informed of the incident at 8.23am. The Renault driver, was a man in his 30s, of Whitehaven.
Motorists had faced a back log of traffic and delays. All lanes had been closed at J38, after around three hours all lanes had reopened.
