Liverpool Lime Street station WILL reopen tomorrow after cable damage is repaired

Liverpool Lime Street station is set to reopen tomorrow morning as emergency repair works look set to finish earlier than expected.
This morning Network Rail announced that the main line station would be closed all day today AND tomorrow for emergency repair work to a structure carrying overhead cables above the rail lines into the station.
The gantry was founded to be severely corroded so trains couldn’t run below.
Passengers using the station faced severe disruption today after the problem was discovered, with many trains having to start and end their journeys at Liverpool South Parkway.... read more
