Lichfield City FC beaten at Sporting Khalsa in the JW Hunt Cup
Lichfield City FC found higher league opposition a bridge too far as they went out of the JW Hunt Cup at Sporting Khalsa.
The home side got off to the perfect start when a volley from Alex Perry found the back of the City net.
Lichfield looked to hit back but saw Joe Hartshorne have a shot blocked – and he was then denied by a smart save by the Khalsa keeper.
The home stopper was kept busy as the visitors looked to find a route back into the game, with Max Black the next to be denied.
At the other end Adam Jenkins also had to be alert to prevent Khalsa from stretching their advantage.
