Leeds confirm Paul Heckingbottom as new manager as ex-Barnsley boss replaces Thomas Christiansen

Leeds United have confirmed Paul Heckinbottom as their new manager on Tuesday morning.
Sportsmail understands the former Barnsley boss spent the morning at the club's Thorp Arch training ground and took a session after meeting his new players. He has penned a contract until the summer of 2019.
The Elland Road club have moved swiftly to replace Thomas Christiansen, who was sacked on Sunday evening after an abysmal run that saw his side fail to win after Boxing Day.
