Lawyer who tried to stab and batter wife to death with ornamental cat battles to stay in profession

A top lawyer who tried to murder his wife whilst suffering from depression is fighting to stay in the legal profession from his prison cell.
Prosecution solicitor, Iain Farrimond, 55, of Battenhall Road, Worcester, viciously knifed and beat his wife Tina as she lay in bed.
He was suffering a bout of depression brought on by work pressures at the Crown Prosecution Service, London’s High Court heard today.
Farrimond admitted attempting to murder his wife and was jailed for six years at Nottingham Crown Court in September 2016.
